ANALISIS KRITIS TERHADAP TAFSIR FI ZILAL AL-QUR’AN KARYA SAYYID QUTB

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to know in depth about Tafsir Fi Zilal Al-Qur'an by Sayyid Qutb, both advantages and disadvantages. This paper is a conceptual analysis with a qualitative-descriptive approach. It can be seen that the commentary of Fi Zilal Al-Qur'an has brought a new nuance in the world of Qur'anic interpretation. Some figures call this work can not be regarded as the interpretation of the Qur'an, because the author never mentions it as a commentary and more to the reflection of Sayyid Qutub's thought that is quite radical. Some of the features of this book lie in the methodology of his study which focuses on reflection on the Qur'an and ignores the less relevant issues and stories that are not very helpful in realizing the Qur'anic ideas. However, there are also some disadvantages such as lack of reference which results in the lack of quotations from the source of history
